The Government of India has approved the 65 km Bhavnagar–Dholera Railway Line Project, a major infrastructure development aimed at improving connectivity in the Dholera Smart City region. This rail link will directly connect Bhavnagar with Dholera, strengthening passenger and freight movement across the corridor.
The project is expected to support industrial growth, logistics efficiency, and workforce mobility, especially with Dholera emerging as a key node under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Improved rail connectivity will also complement road networks and the upcoming Dholera International Airport.
Large infrastructure projects like this railway line play a crucial role in accelerating regional development. Better connectivity enhances accessibility, supports economic activity, and contributes to long-term growth prospects in and around Dholera.
As Dholera Smart City continues to take shape, approvals such as the Bhavnagar–Dholera Railway Line further reinforce the region’s importance on India’s development map.
